These crispy, sweet peppery chicken wings are perfect
for any occasion. They are gluten-free and can easily be made dairy-free with a
simple swap.
Ingredients
1½ pounds chicken wings and drumettes, patted dry
3 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot powder
3½ teaspoons Citrus Pepper Seasoning Blend, divided
½ teaspoon sea salt, divided, optional
¼ cup butter or dairy-free butter, melted
2 tablespoons honey
Directions
Preheat oven to 450°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
In large bowl, combine chicken wings, cornstarch, 1½ teaspoons Citrus Pepper Seasoning Blend and ¼ teaspoon salt, if desired. Toss to coat well. Remove wings shaking off excess cornstarch. Place on baking sheet.
Bake 15 minutes. Turn wings over and continue baking until internal temperature reaches 165°F on an instant-read food thermometer and wings are crispy, about 15-20 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a microwave-safe dish, whisk together melted butter, honey, remaining 2 teaspoons Citrus Pepper Seasoning Blend and ¼ teaspoon salt, if desired. Microwave on HIGH 15-20 seconds. Whisk. Set aside and let cool.
Transfer chicken wings to a large bowl. Drizzle with butter mixture and toss to coat well.
