Packed with umami flavor these sprouts are sautéed with bacon and mushrooms and have a touch of heat from Culinary Genie Salt-Free Blackened Seasoning Blend which can easily be left out if no heat is preferred. Also featuring Culinary Genie Everyday Seasoning Blend and Culinary Genie Umami Mushroom Seasoning Blend.
Ingredients

4 slices uncured, reduced sodium bacon, chopped

½ pound fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed, sliced into 4 (from top to bottom)

½ cup chopped red onion

2 large portobello mushroom caps, stems removed, chopped

1 teaspoon Salt-Free Everyday Seasoning Blend

1 teaspoon Salt-Free Umami Mushroom Seasoning Blend
-
½ teaspoon Salt-Free Blackened Seasoning Blend
-
1-2 tablespoons water, if needed
-
2-3 tablespoons grated pecorino or Parmesan cheese, optional
Directions
In large skillet over medium-high heat, cook bacon until almost crispy, stirring frequently.
Add Brussels sprouts and onions to bacon. Cook 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add mushrooms, Salt-Free Everyday Seasoning Blend, Salt-Free Umami Mushroom Seasoning Blend and Salt-Free Blackened Seasoning Blend.
Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until nicely brown and sprouts are tender, about 5-6 minutes. Add water as needed to help sprouts soften and keep them from burning to bottom of pan.
Remove from heat. If desired, sprinkle with cheese.
