This hot honey strays from the more traditional, using Culinary Genie Salt-Free Blackened Seafood Seasoning Blend to give a wonderful flavor and heat. Definitely worth a try!

Hot Honey

Ingredients

  • ½ cup honey

  • 1-1½ teaspoons Salt-Free Blackened Seasoning Blend

  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar

  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional

  • Pinch of sea salt, optional

Directions

  1. Place honey in a 2-cup glass measuring cup. Microwave on HIGH 30 seconds.

  2. Stir in remaining ingredients. Microwave on HIGH 30 seconds; stir. Microwave 30 seconds, watching to make sure it doesn’t bubble over. Stir.

  3. Cool. Store at room temperature in a mason jar with tight fitting lid.
