Creamy burrata cheese and perfectly ripe tomatoes sprinkled with Mediterranean Herb Seasoning Blend, then drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar. Served with garlic rubbed ciabatta toast for the perfect appetizer.
Ingredients
-
2 ciabatta rolls, sliced in half
-
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, divided
-
1 large garlic clove
-
1 (4 ounce) fresh burrata cheese ball, drained
-
2 Roma tomatoes, sliced
-
½ teaspoon Mediterranean Herb Seasoning Blend
-
1 tablespoon aged balsamic vinegar of Modena
-
4-5 basil leaves
Directions
Preheat oven to broil on HIGH. Place ciabatta halves on baking sheet, cut side up. Drizzle with 1½ tablespoons olive oil. Place under broiler. Broil until golden brown or desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from oven and rub with garlic clove while hot. Set aside.
Pat cheese ball dry with clean paper towels. Place in the center of a serving platter. Arrange tomato slices on half the platter. Sprinkle cheese and tomatoes with Mediterranean Herb Seasoning Blend. Drizzle with remaining 1½ tablespoons olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Cut bread slices in half diagonally and place on platter. Chiffonade basil by layering leaves on top of each other and rolling up. Thinly slice across leaves to create thin strips. Sprinkle over tomatoes.
