Not everyone has access to a grill but love the smoky flavor of cooking on a cedar plank. This recipe is the solution! Don’t have an air fryer either? We have oven directions too!
Ingredients
-
1 cedar plank
-
2 (4 ounce) salmon fillets
-
2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
-
1 tablespoon Citrus Pepper Seasoning Blend
-
2 teaspoons no salt added stone ground mustard or Dijon mustard
-
¼ teaspoon sea salt, optional
Directions
Submerge cedar plank in water for 1-2 hours.
Place salmon fillets in a glass storage container. In small bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients. Pour over salmon and seal well. Refrigerate 1-2 hours.
Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Remove plank from water and place in air fryer basket. Remove salmon from marinade (discard marinade). Place salmon fillets on cedar plank.
Place basket in air fryer. Air fry until internal temperature of salmon reaches 145°F on an instant-read food thermometer, about 10-12 minutes.
Notes
Oven Directions: Follow steps 1-3 above, preheating oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place on bottom rack in oven. Place cedar plank with salmon fillets directly on middle rack in oven. Bake until internal temperature of salmon reaches 145°F on an instant-read food thermometer, about 10-12 minutes.
Note: It is very important to soak the cedar plank a
minimum of 1 hour, but preferably 2 hours. Do not leave cedar plank unattended
in air fryer or oven. Have a spray bottle filled with water near by to spray a
possible flair up.
